STUDY ON THE LYNX-SPIDER, OXYOPES SERTATUS KOCH FOR BIOLOGICAL CONTROL OF THE CRYPTOMERIAN LEAF-FLY, CONTARINIA INOUYEI MANI

Abstract

In this paper, the effect of biological control of the lynx-spider against the cryptonerian leaf-fly was investigated, and conclusively the advisable result was obtained that 62% of larval, pupal and adult population was damaged by this predator. Therefore, this series of experiments shows clearly that this injurious fly in cryptomerian forest can be controled by lynx-spider.
