CAUCHY-SCHWARZ TYPE INEQUALITIES FOR CATEGORIES

Abstract

We study a Cauchy-Schwarz type inequality for categories with respect to a certain ‘inner product’ for objects. This turns out to be equivalent to showing a positivity of certain matrices called ‘Laplacians’ constructed from categories.
