LINEAR MINIMAL RANK PRESERVERS ON INFINITE TRIANGULAR MATRICES

Abstract

We study the minimal rank of an infinite upper triangular matrix over a field. We characterize all linear maps on this space that preserve the minimal rank. Moreover, we give a partial solution to some open problems concerning this notion.
