Abstract

Decarbonization in the construction sector requires the spread of “environmentally friendly buildings. To achieve this, it is necessary to visualize CO₂ emissions from buildings, and while the spread of ZEB and ZEH has stimulated efforts to reduce operational carbon emissions, efforts to visualize and reduce embodied carbon emissions are not widespread enough. One Click LCA” is software that makes it possible to calculate CO₂ emissions over the entire life cycle of a building in a detailed and simple manner. This paper introduces the need for embodied carbon visualization, an overview of “One Click LCA,” and environmental product declarations（EPDs）.
