Abstract

Towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, it is imperative to address the building sector, which accounts for approximately 40% of the nation's total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Industry-wide efforts to reduce GHG emissions are essential. Furthermore, understanding the current state of emissions remains a critical issue, necessitating the accumulation and sharing of data on GHG emissions from buildings. This report aims to identify trends in GHG emissions from buildings and discusses the findings of an investigation into GHG emissions across the lifecycle of buildings, including construction, operation, and disposal, with the goal of contributing to the reduction of emissions in the building sector.
