Abstract
The issues of Logistical organization which have been discussed are as follows. (1) centralization-decentralization, (2) line and stuff, (3) matrix. structure, and (4) organizational positioning, and so on. The main matter of concern is to adopt an optimal structure of Logistical organization. But Logistical organization changes to meet the requirements of the business environment.
In this article, three phases in development of logistical organization are given. Through investigation of the case of Leading-edge company in Japan, the following are given :
(1) Logistical organization often changes to meet the requirements of the business environment.
(2) Development of the information network systems and reformation of business process change structure of Logistical organization.
Logistical organization have become leaner and flatter. Through reformation of the logistical process, struture of Logistical organization may become 'network structure'.
