Abstract
This paper examines the ways in which Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology can potentially increase the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics systems. The use of RFID tags allowed the operators of distribution centers to reduce the time required to monitor the delivery and shipping of products. RFID technology can help reduce inventory levels and cut lead time. The deployment of RFID technology addresses a number of issues, and has the potential to enhance the efficiency and profitability of logistics systems.
