Abstract
Based on our research, we comment on recent progress in organic semiconductor lasers. Styryl benzene derivatives having good gain-narrowing performance are one of promising materials for organic semiconductor lasers. Distributed feedback lasers made of styryl benzene derivatives exhibit low-threshold lasing by optical excitation. Organic semiconductor lasers activated through electric excitation may be achieved in the near future.
