Abstract
Characteristics of a time-delay compensated monochromator (TDCM) selecting a single-order high
harmonic are presented. The TDCM was used for time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy (TRPES) of
gas-phase molecules, 1,3- and 1,2-butadienes. We discuss the relaxation dynamics in these molecules
and present the features of TRPES using high harmonic pulses.
