Study on Digital Holographic Interferometry Using a Plastic Optical Fiber Image Guide

Abstract

A plastic optical fiber (POF) image guide is used to transmit holograms in phase-shifting digital holography. The modulation transfer function (MTF) of reconstructed images is investigated in advance to study the possibility of surface shape measurement and deformation measurement using a POF image guide. We applied two-wavelength method for surface shape measurement. To evaluate the measurement accuracy using the propose system, the same sample has been investigated with the optical system without the POF image guide.
