Abstract
A simple, compact, and low-cost digital holographic microscopy (DHM) system was developed by adopting a Gabor holographic setup. Light emitting diode (LED) illuminations and a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor sensor on a commercial web camera were used to reduce costs. The developed system is light-weight and portable, having dimensions of 140(D)×100(W)×65(H) mm3 and a weight of 500 g. Results suggest that the system effectively works, with an estimated maximum spatial resolution 4.39-μm using a red LED (wavelength = 625 nm; quantity of light = 80 lm).
