Abstract
We will review recent activities on frequency comb generation in a microcavity, often refereed as microcomb
or Kerr comb. Different methods for obtaining phase locked and soliton states are shown. We
also discuss on the effect of opto-mechanical coupling that is present in a high quality factor toroid
microcavity. Stimulated Raman scattering and third harmonic generation are key phenomenon to obtain
broader bandwidth light using a single device. Recent advancement and perspective of micro-comb
technologies are discussed.
