Abstract
Dual-comb spectroscopy has drawn significant attention as a powerful approach to acquire optical
spectra with unprecedentedly high resolution, high accuracy, and short acquisition time. In this study,
we propose an all-fiber-type dual-comb spectrometer with compact, stable, and easy-to-use setup. Based
on this simple and practical concept, we aim to vastly expand the applicability of the dual-comb
spectroscopy. In the developed system, in order to reduce unfavorable phase noise, we constructed the
fiber system by using polarization-maintaining fibers and introduced a temperature control system.
Consequently, a phase stability of the order of 10 mrad is achieved, which allows us to characterize the
properties of materials with a high accuracy. The developed system has great potential for applications
in rapid and precise characterization of a wide variety of specimens, such as solid materials, liquid in
glass cells, and optical fiber components.
