Bioanalytical Applications and Quantum Cascade Lasers

Abstract

Mid-infrared Quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) promises very high sensitivity and opens up the way for many applications in fundamental science, emission measurement and environmental monitoring. The emergence of broadband wavelength swept QCL will provide new benefits not found in FTIR and will replace it as IR-light source for the next generation of infrared analyzers.
