The HF laser has been studied for inclined electron-beam initiation scheme. An intense electron-beam of about 1 kA/cm2 with 70 ns (FWHM) is used. The instantaneous pressure rise due to the chemical chain reaction is measured. To increase the initiation strength of the chemical reaction by an electron beam, strong axial Bz field is applied and then the shorter laser pulse width of 75 ns is obtained. By using an unstable resonator laser output with a divergence of 0.37 mrad is obtained, which is about 2.25 times over the diffraction limit. Finally, the maximum HF laser energy of 140 J in a 75 ns FWHM is obtained with a laser efficiency of 124%.
