Abstract
Recent measuring technology for various types of ultrashort optical pulses using ultrafast streak cameras and optical oscilloscopes are reviewed. The optical oscilloscope is a conceptually new electron-optical instrument, in which two advanced technologies: streak camera and oscilloscope, are combined in one unit.
