Recent Progress of Optical Coatings for High Power Lasers

Abstract

Recent improvements of optical coatings for high power lasers are presented. A highly damage resistant coatings were developed by using the surface prepared and super-polished substrates. Furthermore, new antireflection coatings, which are chemically processed, are described. Shown are measured damage threshold data of those coatings for 1μm, 0.53μm and 0.355μm lasers.
