Abstract
The pyroelectric current of ferro-electric polymer strongly depends on a poling field. The currentof poly·vinylidene-trifluoroethylene (P·VDF-TrFE) copolymer induced by CW-CO2 laserirradiation steeply increases at the field higher than 0 .4 MV/cm. This magnitude of poling fieldcorresponds to an internal field induced by the poling process . The induced current of P·VDF-TrFE film copolymer depends on the VDF concentration, and it almost constant over therange of 54-66 mol%. The film poled by a high electric field (≥1MV/cm) could be used as a veryconvenient pyro-electric detective material.
