Abstract
Large single KTP crystals ranging up to 32×42×87mm3 have been grown by top-seeded flux growth using large platinum crucible (150mm in diameter and 150mm in height) and a loadcell for weight measurement of a growing crystal. Solution dynamics has been investigated by simulation using silicone oil at room temperature and growth rate of the KTP crystal was found to depend strongly on the agitation effects of the solution by growing crystal. The clear crystal without in-clusion could be obtained by precisely controlling the temperature falling rate of solution.
