Abstract
A silver mirror reaction method has been proposed to obtain small-bore silver capillary tubes. The deposition process of silver layer is clarified both by SEM and loss spectrum analyses. A condition is obtained to realize silver hollow glass waveguides with small transmission losses for the infrared.
