Abstract
A small mammal was found in the stomach of a largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) caught in an agricultural pond in Suzu-shi, Ishikawa Prefecture, in October 2004. It was identified as a greater Japanese shrew-mole (Urotrichus talpoides). Body parts recovered from the stomach included a mandible, fur with a forefoot, hind feet and a tail.
