AN ACTINOMYCETIC STRAIN ISOLATED FROM A PRECLINICALLY AFFECTED DENTAL PULP UNDER THE CARIOUS LESION

Abstract

An Actinomyces strain was isolated from a tooth pulp of a 36 year-old patient who was not aware of its affection. This strain was identified as A. israelii by the sugar fermentation pattern and colonial morphology, employing the nomenclature of oral Actinomycetes proposed by Onisi and Tokiwa⁽¹¹⁾.
