Abstract
Mass spectra and IKE spectra of a series of 7-substituted indolizidin-7-ol derivatives were measured by electron impact ionization, and their characteristic fragmentation patterns were discussed. The configurations of the epimers could be distinguished by the relative intensity of the peak at m/z 140 in the electron ionization mass spectra and by characteristic peaks corresponding to eliminations of H2O and alkyl substituents in the IKE spectra.
