Biting midges from Northern Pakistan with descriptions of three new species : Diptera : Ceratopogonidae

Abstract

Twenty-one species belonging to the genus Culicoides were recorded from six localities in northern part of Pakistan. Almost all species are the Central Asian elements. Three new species, C. kohistanensis, C. pakistanensis and C. papillatus, are described and figured.
