Abstract
Five females of a deer ked Lipoptena fortisetosa, de-alate form, were collected from a dead individual of the Japanese deer Cervus nippon nippon in April, 1990,in Kitatama-gun, Tokyo, Japan. This may be the first record of this species from Tokyo. Two males and two females of L. fortisetosa were collected from the Japanese deer captured in June, 1985,in Kinkazan Park, Miyagi, Japan.
