Abstract

Mass occurrence of Leptocera caenosa (Rondani) in a food processing factory in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture was observed. The fly is known as a synanthropic species and often reported mass occurrence in human dwellings in Japan. This report shows the morphology of this species and the case of mass occurrence in this factory.
