Abstract
When a bar collides perpendicularly against a beam, intermittent type collision occurs repeatedly until the half-cycle of the beam's deformation motion is accomplished. In previous paper, we showed the details of collision process and kinetics of this collide system with the motion of bar and beam precisely. And also showed the effect of 2 principal key factors (1.Mass ratio and 2 Natural frequency ratio) in the case that a bar collides with the center of the beam which is both ends supported. When a bar collides perpendicularly against the off central part of a beam, the impact force pattern varies with of the impact position from the center to the supported point of the beam. In this paper, we study about the influence of impact position of a beam to the impact phenomena and try to find the cause of this effect using analytical and experimental data.
