Abstract
The new type multiple health checking system (human dock) has been developed by Iseikai Hospital, Osaka, Japan. It has several features. The first one is high quality imaging diagnoses using Electron Beam CT (IMATRON), Multidetector CT (SOMATOM PLUS 4), MRI. Ultrasound and Electron Endoscopies. The second is clinical application of CT virtual endoscopies for stomach and colon composed by the multidetector CT. The third is recording of each examinee's data including imagings on a CD-ROM for personal usage after changing from DICOM format to JPG. In last 18 months,1000 personals are examined by this system. We detected malignant diseases of stomach and others in 6, cerebral aneurysm in 2, coronary calcification in 26.4% of IMATRON examinations, stomach diseases in 60% of gastric endoscopies, polyps in 90% of colon endoscopies, and uterine myomas in 30% of pelvic MRI. CT virtual gastric endoscopies are carried out in 5 examinees and pathological findings are detected in 3. Reporting by CD-ROM is a favorite with examinees for their health improvement by reading it at his/her personal computer. This system is well evaluated as a revolution in the health checking system.
