Abstract
High performance engineering plastics (named “Super Engineering Plastics” : SEP in Japan) have been expected as practical materials, however data on their torsional performance and durability are particularly scanty. We studied PEI and PAMXD6 (semiaromatic nylon) in addition to liquid crystalline plastics, PPS, PES and PEEK reported1) previously, comparing with Nylon 66-G.F.
The following properties were measured.
1) Thermal property. 2) Torsional properties. 3) Solvent stress cracking properties.
4) Weatherability. 5) Fatigue properties. 6) Dynamic rheological properties.
