Abstract
This paper examines the effects of the special exhibition “Tyrannosaurus Expo 2025 in Miyazaki” on visitors, based on a questionnaire investigation and records of reference services. The results show that an exhibition structure focusing on the evolution and ecology of tyrannosaurids enhanced visitors’ understanding and interest. Comparative displays of juvenile, subadult, and adult Tyrannosaurus skeletal mounts facilitated comprehension of growth stages, while exhibits of individual skeletal elements promoted understanding of morphology and function. Hands-on exhibits attracted younger visitors, and the “kids panels” were well received across age groups. Overall, the exhibition achieved its initial objectives.
