Abstract

Professional wireless cameras using the millimeter-wave band can transmit more information than those in the UHF band, making this band especially useful for transmitting high-quality video and audio with low latency. Although such devices have been put into practical use, there is a need to downsize the equipment on the camera side to reduce expensive millimeter-wave band components and improve operability. In this study, we configure the downlink of a professional wireless camera for UHDTV as a single frequency network (SFN) and study the expansion of coverage provided by a booster. A coupling loop interference canceller and multi-path equalizer are installed in the booster. A computer simulation shows that the booster works well. SFN interference, in which the master and booster waves multiply propagate, can be equalized through frequency domain equalization (FDE) of the single-carrier (SC) system at the receiver side.
