Theory of Pattern Formation in Fluidized Bed

Abstract

Theoretical researches of pattern formation in fluidized bed based on the two-fluid model are reviewed, where examples are employed mainly from the authors' results. A relation between the linear stability analysis and the the weak nonlinear analysis is stressed. Numerical simulations are shown to support the theoretical results.
