The Process of Planning and Characteristics of the Exhibition of National Archives of Modern Architecture [NAMA] 10th Anniversary Special Exhibition “Japan Architects in NAMA”

Abstract

Since its opening in May 2013, the National Archives of Modern Architecture, Agency for Cultural Affairs (NAMA), run by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, has been collecting materials related to modern architecture, spreading architectural culture to society through its exhibitions, and pursuing what an archive should be. This article records discussions and opinions in the planning process for the special exhibition “Japan Architects in NAMA” to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the NAMA, along with contents of the actual exhibition and its visual scenes.
