Abstract

This paper studies “city planning based on public interest” by a case study of “Uchi River Rediscovery Project” of Institute for Advanced Koeki Studies based on “Koeki studies”. Firstly, this paper clarifies “Koeki studies” and “city planning based on public interest”. “City planning based on public interest” is the city planning making use of the theory and knowledge of “public interest” based on “Koeki studies”. Secondly, this paper clarifies “Uchi River Rediscovery Project” of Institute for Advanced Koeki Studies. Based on the above, this paper analyzes “Uchi River Rediscovery Project” of Institute for Advanced Koeki Studies making use of the theory and knowledge of “city planning based on public interest” as an analytical framework. As a result of the analysis of this paper, this paper argues that the elements of “city planning based on public interest” can be found in “Uchi River Rediscovery Project” of Institute for Advanced Koeki Studies.
