Relationship of School Restructuring and Urban Policy in the Suburbs of Large City: Case study of Tama New Town

Abstract

We’ve seen the situation of school consolidation in urban areas that effect, was a case study of Tama New Town, from the education of school consolidation in the Tokyo metropolitan area. As a result, the correspondence that assumes the geographic mismatch of urban policy and education policy, the need for even conscious facility relocation plan to the educational effect, integral development of education policy and urban policy has raised the issue that is important.
