Abstract

The β-type titanium alloy has poorest machinability in the titanium alloys. The aim of the present study is to develop the β-type titanium alloy improved machinability by the heat treatment. Effective method of improving the machinability is precipitated the α phase by aging treatment than the β single phase, and is to decrease the tensile strength as much as possible in the β-type titanium alloy.
