Abstract

The outline of structural adhesion technology, whose application has begun to automobile body etc., will be explained in the article. Due to progress in polymer chemistry, the superior characteristic adhesive has been developed and is replacing conventional joining methods such as welding. However, it is essential to design the joint properly with consideration of weak points for adhesive bonding. Problems would unexpectedly happen if the issue is neglected. The article indicates what is important to establish a safe joint with adhesive.
