The rigid spiroacetal structure is regarded as a promising building block for the development of advanced functional materials with properties such as high thermal stability, mechanical strength, and refractive index. However, examples of polymers incorporating spiroacetal units are limited, and there are few reports on their application to networked polymers. In this work, we report the synthesis of novel networked polymers via thiol-ene reactions of difunctional vinyl and allyl monomers bearing a pentaerythritol-derived spiroacetal structure with multifunctional thiols.
