Abstract
Cross-Polarization/Magic Angle Spinning (CP/MAS) solid-state13C-NMR spectroscopy was applied to the analysis of the curing reaction of maleimide resins.
CP/MAS-13C-NMR spectra of maleimide resins were assinged. The peak of carbonyl of maleimide group shifted to a lower field by Michael-addition or polymerization. The peaks of methylene and methyne formed by Michael-addition was found to be around 36 and 52ppm. The Peaks of methyne formed by polymerization were in the 40~50ppm region. Consequently, it became clear that the conversion of maleimide group could be estimated, and that the information relating to Michael - addition and polymerization could be obtained by CP/MAS -13C- NMR spectroscopy.
