Abstract
Melamine resins have various uses as coatings, adhesives, molding compounds and so on, because of their excellent physical and chemical properties.
Melamine resins have been used in combination with other resins or materials. Then recent main themes of studies are the chemical structure of melamine resins and the mechanism of reaction with other resins. And now, improvements of the resines and development of the new applications are going on.
This papers review especially the recent studies on melamine resins for coatings and molding compounds.
