Abstract
In the previous two articles the present author abstracted about 30 articles on the reaction of aldehydes with phenols, which were cited in the famous article published by Baekeland and Bender (1925). Continuously the following themes are introduced in this article : “the reaction of benzaldehyde and resorcinol” by R. Fabre (1922); “allyl-rearrangement of phenols and the effect of solvent upon O-and C-alkyl reactions” by L. Claisen (1912, 1913, 1919, 1923); “the rearrangement in the reaction between phenol and benzophenone chloride and the carbontetrachloride-phenol reaction” by M. Gomberg (1915, 1920, 1925).
