Abstract
Quite effective nature of polymers having imine moieties to control the activity of H2PtCl6 in the hydrosylilation process is described. In the presence of the imine-containing polymers, the catalytic of activity H2PtCl6 was found to be suppressed remarkably in the model reaction of trimethylsilane with triethylvinylsilane at ambient temperature. However, a moderate catalytic activity could be attained on heating. The present catalyst was applicable to control the curing process of silicone resin. That is, the catalyst was found to be effective to attain the one-pot thermal latent curable system.
