Abstract
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) causes not only end-stage kidney disease, which requires dialysis therapy, but also cardiovascular disease. As a cause of CKD, the prevalence of lifestyle-related diseases, such as diabetes mellitus and hypertension, has been increasing, although that of chronic glomerulonephritis has been decreasing. Risk factors of CKD include obesity, metabolic syndrome, hyperuricemia, dyslipidemia, and smoking. Early detection of CKD by Ningen Dock followed by dietary and lifestyle guidance is important in suppressing the progression of CKD for prevention of end-stage kidney disease and cardiovascular disease.
