Abstract
A case of nevus comedonicus was represented. A lady, aged 21 years, reported to the skin clinic of Kyushu University Hospital, on March, 11, 1968, the complaint being a skin condition that had been present since birth. It consists of groups of comedones that have in their center a dark, firm, hyperkeratotic plug on the middle of the head, right side of the temporal and pre-auricular part. Histologically, each comedolike lesion is represented by a wide and deep invagination of the epidermis filled with keratin. Although these invaginations resemble dilated hair follicles, they do not contain a hair. This case is a nevus, it seems to a sort of the follicular nevus.
