Abstract
Using 41 patients with chronic urticaria, allergic constitution indexing, allergic intracutaneous test, examination on complication of other allergic disorder, blood, urine and stool examinations, glucose tolerance and gastric acidity tests, ICG, liver function, renal function, adrenocortical function and thyroid function tests, seroimmuological and immunoglobulin examinations, investigation on provoking causes of urticaria and inquiry about food habit were carried out, associated with hyposensitization therapy. The results obtained are as follows:
1) Allergic disposition or constitution was the most important factor in chronic urticaria.
2) The allergic intracutaneous test showed specific reagins in 6 cases (3 of provocative urticaria and 3 of positive P-K reaction).
3) Effects of specific hyposensitization therapy on patients having specific reagins were much satisfactory, while generally, hyposensitization therapy upon cases of chronic urticaria worked relatively.
