Abstract
The distribution of topically applied radioactive flumethasone-pivalate was studied by means of autoradiography (direct mounting method). This substance deposited in horny and Malpighian layer of epidermis and skin appendages (hair follicle, sebaceous gland and apocrine gland) were more densely deposited than epidermis. This distribution pattern of deposition was dis cussed in comparison with that of the previously studied topical corticosteroids, namely, hydrocortisone, hydrocortisone-17-butyrate, triamcinolone-acetonide, betamethasone-17-valerate, 17-α-desoxymethasone, fluocinolone-acetonide and beclomethasone-dipropionate.
