Three female cases of acute genital herpes were reported. Virological examinations from their herpetic lesions were performed in two cases. They were identified as herpes simplex virus type 1. A 28-year-old woman who contracted genital herpes just before her delivery gave birth to a healthy boy by Caesarean section to prevent neonatal transvaginal infection.
