A method of determination of zinc concentration in human skin was evaluated. The time-course until the specimens reach a constant weight by drying at 110°C was observed in the epidermal and dermal specimens, respectively. The method of determination following the use of low-temperature ashing showed excellent results in reproducibility, recovery, and the calibration curve. It was confirmed that this method is useful in determination of zinc concentration in the skin.
