Abstract
A case of alopecia neoplastica secondary to breast cancer is reported. A 65-year-old woman presented with a complaint of alopecia on her head. The lesion showed asymptomatic brownish plaque with a nodule in the center. A biopsy specimen showed an ‘Indian file’ pattern for the infiltration of malignant cells. The malignant cells formed small glandulae, thus indicating the presence of metastatic adenocarcinoma. She had previously undergone a left mastectomy for breast cancer 11 year earlier and as a result she was diagnosed to have alopecia neoplastica secondary to breast cancer.
