Abstract
We performed volar locking plate fixation on 43 patients (13 men, 30 women, mean age 58.8 years) with distal radius fracture. The mean follow-up period was 11 months (range: 6-21 months). We measured the radiographic parameters at the time of injury, immediately after surgery, and at final follow-up. At the final follow-up, the mean radial inclination was 22.4°, the mean volar tilt was 10.9°, the mean ulnar variance was 0.4 mm, and the loss of correction was minimal. At the final follow-up, range of motion and grip power were measured. According to Saito Score, the results were excellent in 39 cases and good in four cases.
